Once upon a time, in December of 2003, Marti Brom came to Maryland to visit the LeBeaus. They had many great adventures together. The first was a visit to Patsy Cline's home town, Winchester, Virginia. The townsfolk were friendly and the pie and coffee at the old diner were delicious. From there they drove on to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to play a New Year's Eve show at the Cacapon State Park Lodge... Arriving a day early, they had plenty of time to get a speeding ticket (okay, it was only a warning), shop the local antique malls and thrift stores, eat Chinese food moments before the restaurant closed, and drink wine! Finally it was show time... Opening the show were the Sterling Cowboys, followed by Wendy LeBeau & Her Beaus. After Wendy and Marti changed their dresses (again) Marti ended the night with a bang. Marti and the Beaus had a great time performing together and with the legendary Fiddlin' Joe Shewbridge, who had backed Patsy Cline, among many other greats. The next day, they headed back to Maryland, but not before stopping in Winchester once again to visit the grave site of Patsy Cline. The LeBeau's daughter was very happy to see them home again, but not as happy as she was to see her new best pal, Marti.
